ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Celadon is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager, with a strong work ethic, excellent team building and mentoring skills, to assist in leading our Warehouse team and operations. 

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be hands on while overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, dispatch of all Celadon goods, while providing leadership, direction, and motivation to the warehouse team. 

Requirements
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods
Efficiently use space for storage and display of product 
Timely processing of paperwork including reports
Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff for peak performance
Ensure productivity targets are met
Provide exceptional customer service
Communicate efficiently with managers and team members
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment

Responsibilities
Works with delegated team members to pull Stock Request items
Confirms inventory transfers matches Stock Request and item numbers are correct
Ensures items are safely loaded onto Celadon truck before they are enroute
Route, confirm, prep, and inspect deliveries
Works with store management, buyers, and sales to solve any customer issues
Run necessary reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Confirm, check in, and price inbound shipments and containers
Submit damage report to accounting for damaged goods, overages, shortages
Provide accurate damage claims in a proper time frame
Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to ensure proper staffing
Work with Advertising department to ensure all signage (including sale) is displayed properly 

Qualifications
High school or equivalent
Management experience required (1-3 years preferred)
People management skills, including the ability to lead, inspire and motivate others, delegate work 
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Confident with computerized systems: Microsoft Word, Outlook
Reliable, trustworthy, and enthusiastic
Problem-solving skills 
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the legal & safety requirements of operating a warehouse preferred
Clean driving record

Hours
40 hours weekly
Biweekly weekends required

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

This role is full-time at our North Charleston Warehouse location and reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Emptying import containers
-Preparing (gather & wrapping) sold items for 3rd party delivery
- Ensuring warehouse organization and cleanliness
- Processing internal & external paperwork (i.e. Bill of Lading, Product Pricing Sheets, Invoices, etc.)
- Driving our Celadon (Box) Truck
- Perform other duties as assigned. This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills
- General warehouse experience
- Prior experience loading and unloading trucks
- Customer service or retail experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and handle at least 75lbs. (heavy lifting required)
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Point of Sale)
- Positive Attitude

- Full-time, 8am - 4pm

FURNITURE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

This role is part-time at our North Charleston Warehouse location and reports to the Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for repairing and refinishing furniture at our warehouse & flagship store locations. 

Responsibilities
- Repair damaged furniture to like new condition.
- Complete upholstery repair including mechanism replacement, if necessary. 
- Determine if furniture is repairable or if it must be replaced.
- Report any incomplete or problems to Inventory Manager.
- Record completed repairs and any further repairs needed and/or parts that need to be ordered.
- Notify the Customer Service & Buying team of repeated item issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized area. 
- Assist with various warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ year practical work experience in furniture repair including upholstery, leather repairs and wood refinishing.
- Will lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and more with assistance.
- Will work predominately in a warehouse environment, occasional work at flagship store location. Potential exposure to oil, latex, and paint, household chemicals, and household dusts.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understand and maintain all safe work practices and rules.
