This piece was inspired by the art of quilting and tapestry making as a form of storytelling. The simple, straightforward, and flat style that artisans have used for centuries. "I chose to plot imagery from my past works out on raw canvas in this way almost like an excavation. Much like my internal life the past few years, I wanted these pieces from my Blue Period to appear unearthed, bare, and (of course) blue." -Savanna
