This antique open bookcase just arrived all the way from India and is made from mango wood!
Why do we love mango wood? Mango trees are grown in India for their fruit which can only bear for 7-10 years. After this time, the trees must be cut and replanted. The wood, which was once burned, is now used as a sustainable material in the furniture industry to make beautiful pieces like this chest!
