We’re so excited to finally share an exclusive collaboration we’ve been quietly working on with Tensira. Earlier this year, Tuulia Mäkinen Diallo, co-founder and Creative Director of Tensira, approached us about creating something together — a small collection designed exclusively for Celadon. From the very beginning, the collaboration felt natural. A shared appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality, and pieces made with intention guided every step of the process.
To bring that shared vision to life, our teams began by building a moodboard together — pulling references from sun-washed landscapes, coastal ease, timeworn textures, and collected interiors. This visual starting point helped shape the palette, patterns, and feeling of the collection, grounding every design choice in a sense of place and lived-in beauty.
After months of collaboration, we landed on four exclusive designs — Soleil, Balnéaire, Palmier, and Château — each created to reflect Celadon’s collected aesthetic. The palette was designed to live cohesively, allowing the pieces to be mixed, layered, and enjoyed together throughout the home. From tea towels and pillows to throws, dog beds, and more, every item in the collection brings warmth and texture into everyday spaces.
Tensira partners with artisan communities in Guinea to spin, weave, dye, and sew textiles entirely by hand using traditional looms and generational techniques. Crafted from 100% cotton and Oeko-Tex certified, each piece is made under fair and respectful working conditions, with dyes applied by hand using centuries-old methods unique to the region — values deeply aligned with how we source and tell stories at Celadon.
This collection isn’t about trends. It’s about pieces that feel good in the home — textiles that soften spaces, add quiet interest, and tell a story through their making. We’re incredibly proud to share this collaboration and grateful to the artisans who brought it to life. The Celadon x Tensira collection is now available in-store and online.
