Home Tour – Meet the Artist Edition with Cindy DeAntonio
Meet Cindy DeAntonio, local artist and member of the Charleston Artist Collective. Celadon recently launched a collaborative series with the Charleston Artist Collective, Art of Home, where members of the Collective will create exclusive paintings for rotating exhibits here at Celadon. We are also taking you behind the scenes into the homes of each of the artists to get a feel of what inspires their work and how they use their own Celadon finds! Next up, Cindy DeAntonio!

Cindy DeAntonio is a mixed media artist who uses distinct lines and shapes to create her unique and highly recognizable style. Her work is comprised of abstracts, modern interpretations of traditional lowcountry landscapes, and cubist inspired still lifes. She draws inspiration from a variety of sources including fashion, design and her natural surroundings. Cindy’s love of bold colors and balance are apparent in each one of her pieces. Her work have been featured in Coastal Living, Serena and Lily, Garden and Gun, and SIP magazine. Cindy grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and earned a Studio Art degree from the University of South Carolina. She currently lives on Isle of Palms, SC with her family.
How would you describe your interiors aesthetic?
“Simple and relaxed. I like for my home feel comfortable and soothing. I love a good mix of styles without a lot of fuss.”
What inspires your style?
“Everything from media, environment, friends and family etc.. I’m a very visual person and can be inspired by most things.”

What’s your favorite thing about living in Charleston?
“Charleston is a great mix because you have history and charm along with the beach. You can walk around downtown one day and be relaxing at the beach the next.”
What’s your favorite aspect about being an artist?
“Being able to create. It means a lot when someone buys one of my pieces because they love it and want to see it everyday.”


What do you love about Celadon?
“It has such a good mix of unique finds from all over the world. I especially love all the fun jewelry.”
Who are a few of your favorite social follows for design inspiration?
“Love some locals like Sidney Wagner and Angie Hranowsky. Also love Amber Interiors and Pencil and Paper Company.”

“My style is very graphic and balanced. My work consists of abstracts, modern lowcountry landscapes and cubism inspired still life’s. I love using bold colors with distinct lines and shapes.”
